Dear Jeff

I use a GPS receiver from GARMIN. It is called a GPS 35-HVS you can find
information about it on there web site

The unit ouputs GPS NMEA standard information which the specifications will
tell you about, It also outputs RTCM data for differential location work.
However most importantly and in your case it has a PPS (pulse per second)
output which has to be enabled to work and beyond that only after it has
locked onto the satelites.

It is fully encased so it can be left outside the unit has a built in
antenna and a flying lead of about 4m. It is roughly the size of a computer

Any further help don't hesitate to ask
